This Pacer was originally fitted with a motor built by Harden & Johnston Ltd. 117-131 Flinders Street, Sydney and the number on the ID plate fitted to the car is VH7-S-H&J-S001. It is currently fitted with a later motor. I don't know what happened to the original motor. I bought it of a person who was the 2nd owner and had owned it since 1972.

Currently has a 245, original good interior, original rust, has been resprayed at some point, a work in progress, my everyday driver. Toying with the idea of reboring her to a 265 or maybe just maybe dropping a big bore V8. I think she has been cannibilised at some point- if anybody might happen to a know where my Pacer 265 engine is (Eng No. 00194), please let me know.

Current Drivetrain: Non original 265 / 3 spd

Purchased circa August 2017. Vehicle still has it's original tan interior and body painted blonde olive with bonnet blackouts/stripes.

My current intentions are to get the vehicle to a roadworthy condition and enjoy cruising in it. I will be on the search for the original engine but “needle in the haystack“ scenario I think. When finances allow I would like to start a full restoration but until then will just try to preserve a piece of CAL history.

Important information about ads: This site has been running for 22 years, providing information about Chrysler Valiant Pacers. The site has never made a penny (it was never intended to do so) and was built for the love of Pacers, however it has always cost money to run. In 2018 I put some ad's on the site to see if the website can somehow cover its costs and so far the ads look like they'll cover about 50% of the annual running costs. If you see an ad that interests you, please click on it, as it will help! Just seeing ads does not achieve anything, and so if you would rather not see any ad's, you can click here to not see any more. It looks like you've opted to not see any ads, which is fine, but if you want you can turn them back on here.
